Sun Damage | Age Spots | Brown Spots | Freckles

Uneven Texture or Tone

The irregular production of pigment can lead to unevenness in the skin’s appearance. This is often caused by sun exposure, genetics, or aging. The treatment options below are available to combat sun damage and uneven skin color, tone or texture.

Cosmetic Device and Laser Treatments

The UltraPulse Fractional CO2 Laser is designed to regenerate the skin, reduce the signs of aging and repair fine lines, wrinkles, scarred skin and sun damage. This fractional CO2 laser stimulates your skin to repair itself. This minimizes downtime and helps increase collagen production so the skin appears tighter, smoother, healthier and more youthful.

Pulsed Dye Lasers help to improve facial redness and reduce abnormal facial vessels by delivering intense but gentle bursts of light into the skin. The light is selectively absorbed by the areas of increased redness and enlarged blood vessels and initiates a natural clearing process.

IPL treatments use Broadband Light (BBL) energy to target the redness, brown spots or discoloration and enlarged blood vessels that develop under the skin’s surface. The light energy is absorbed by the target and stimulates a repair process which restores more even skin color and tone.

By combining IPL and ResurFX technologies, both skin pigmentation and texture issues can be addressed at the same time. IPL technology removes unwanted pigmentation and blood vessels from the skin, while the ResurFX fractional laser stimulates the production of new collagen and elastic fibers in the deeper layers of the skin.

5-Aminolevulinic Acid (ALA) is a substance that naturally occurs in the body. When it is applied topically and allowed to soak into the skin, it is selectively absorbed by sun damaged cells, oil glands, and precancerous actinic keratosis. The ALA is then activated by a light source, either Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Pulsed Dye Laser (V-Beam), actinic light (BLU-U), or a combination of all three, and a targeted repair process is stimulated.

Spa Treatments

A chemical solution is used to remove dead layers of skin at the skin’s surface. Although chemical peels are most often used on the face, some other commonly treated areas include the neck, hands, back, and chest.

The eMatrix offers patients of all skin types a safe and effective way to reverse multiple signs of aging. Unlike other treatments that work from the outside in, Sublative Rejuvenation works from the inside out, targeting collagen production. eMatrix can be used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars and textural irregularities caused by excessive sun exposure and aging. The result is improved skin texture and more even skin tone.

It is the most natural way to resurface the skin without the use of lasers or chemicals. It utilizes crystals and vacuum pressure to exfoliate superficial layers of the skin. Vacuum pressure can be adjusted to optimize the depth of penetration.

Light therapy, or phototherapy, is defined as exposing skin to light for therapeutic purposes. LED lights are the most common type of light used because they emit a constant low intensity light which makes it ideal for all skin types and conditions.

Facial Veins | Redness | Flushing | Rosacea

Facial redness and flushing can be caused by factors such as sun damage, genetics, hormones, and certain medications. Rosacea is a common, chronic skin condition that affects over 14 million Americans, many of whom are unaware that they have the condition. Rosacea can cause progressive facial redness, flushing, coarsening of skin texture, small, pus-filled bumps similar to acne, and the overgrowth of small facial blood vessels called telangiectasia, or facial spider veins. Such changes over time can affect a patient’s confidence and self-esteem.

The Gentle YAG laser treatment of facial veins offers patients precise results through a minimally invasive procedure that heats the vein and causes it to close, rather than removing it surgically.

Spa Treatments

This soothing treatment calms and heals skin affected by rosacea by relieving irritation, blotchiness and redness and improving the overall look and feel of the skin.

Acne | Acne Scarring | Prominent Pores

Acne vulgaris, or acne, is a chronic inflammatory condition of the skin. Although it most often appears on the face, acne can be present on the neck, chest, back and upper arms. Acne is a chronic condition and even with adequate treatment, it will tend to flare up from time to time. Severe acne can sometimes cause scarring.

The Infini procedure uses microneedles to deliver Radiofrequency (RF) energy deep into the dermis to stimulate collagen production for impressive wrinkle reduction. Infini’s precisely targeted delivery of RF energy reduces the thermal damage to surrounding tissue to speed healing times and provide long term results.

Spa Treatments

Vitalia MedSpa offers a variety of facials that can be customized to create a routine to help combat chronic acne and flare ups.

Microcurrent technology uses gentle electrical stimulation to trigger the body’s natural skin enhancement chemicals at a cellular level. Microcurrent increases the natural levels of ATP (adenosine triphosphate). This stimulates production of elastin and collagen while increasing circulation and lymphatic drainage.

Micro-needles are used to create tiny vertical perforations in the epidermis and dermis, the uppermost layers of the skin. This triggers the skin’s natural repair process to stimulate collagen and elastin production. During this procedure, anti-oxidant and collagen stimulating products are applied and allowed to seep into the skin to nourish and revitalize.

I consider Dr. Judge and her staff to be the epitome of Dermatology excellence AND outstanding customer service. On a surgical level, Dr Judge has treated me for skin cancer on more than one occasion, leaving no indication (scar). Her motto "the sun is not your friend" is one I have learned to practice daily.
